Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Storyteld (operated by Kavash Ventures, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account data: your email address when you sign up (via email code or Google sign-in).
  • Usage & engagement: stories you view, save, search, and tap through to, used to personalise your feed.
  • Preferences: interests and notification settings you choose.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe; we store a subscription status and reference, not your card details.
  • Technical: standard logs and, for non-premium users, aggregate ad performance (impressions and clicks) for the first-party ads we serve.
  • Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage so we can improve the product. No analytics cookies are set unless you accept them.

How we use it

  • To provide the feed, personalise recommendations, and remember your saved stories.
  • To send digests and alerts you have opted into.
  • To process subscriptions and prevent abuse.
  • To show first-party ads to free users; these set no third-party advertising cookies, and Premium removes ads entirely.

Sharing

We don’t sell your personal data. We share only with the processors that run the service — for example Supabase (hosting/database), Stripe (payments), Google Analytics (usage measurement, only with your consent), and our email provider — under contract and for these purposes only.

Your rights & choices

  • Access, correct, or delete your data — delete your account any time from Settings.
  • Turn email/push digests on or off in Settings.
  • Upgrade to Premium to remove ads entirely; our free-tier ads are first-party and non-tracking.
  • Accept or decline analytics cookies in the consent banner; declining means Google Analytics never loads.
  • Email privacy@storyteld.com for any privacy request.

Retention

We keep engagement data only for a limited analytics window and delete your data when you delete your account.
