The Bauchi State chapters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) have established an alliance to enhance their candidates' chances of electoral success in the upcoming 2027 elections, according to Tribune Online.

Taminu Turaki, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party's Interim National Working Committee, has warned candidates for the 2027 elections against defecting after obtaining party tickets. This warning was issued on Wednesday, with Turaki stating that candidates whose names are submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission must adhere to this undertaking.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially opened its state secretariat in Bauchi State and announced Hon. Usman Adamu Ahmed Suphi as its governorship candidate for the 2027 elections. During the event, Suphi introduced Alhaji Abdulkadir Alin Bababa as his running mate. The ceremony took place at the new party headquarters located on Kobi Street.
