Muhoozi Kainerugaba addressed the situation on social media, reflecting the growing fear among Ugandans regarding potential arrests, according to The Observer.

A recent surge in opposition arrests, military detentions, and treason charges in Uganda indicates a worsening political crisis. Notably, Erias Lukwago, the former Lord Mayor of Kampala and legal representative for Dr. Kizza Besigye, has been implicated in these developments, which include allegations of abduction and torture of political opponents, according to The Independent.

Martha Karua, leader of the People's Liberation Party, recounted her experience after being denied entry into Uganda. She described prolonged delays and restricted movement at the airport, where immigration officers questioned her repeatedly and confined her in an airport lounge under security watch for hours. Karua had traveled to Uganda with Law Society of Kenya President Charles Kanjama to attend court proceedings related to a bail application for a Ugandan opposition leader.

Andrew Nabimanya, known as Ninye Tabz and a supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has been released on police bond after spending five days in detention. He was detained by unknown security operatives near the former NUP headquarters in Kampala. His release occurred at the Central Police Station in Kampala.
