The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has assured Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang that security agencies are ramping up efforts to apprehend and prosecute those responsible for the recent attack in Mushere District of Bokkos Local Government Area, according to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Morris Dankwambo.

The Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, expressed concerns over potential violence ahead of the Osun State governorship election, noting that at least 20 people have reportedly been killed in recent months. Disu made these remarks during a meeting at the Osun State police headquarters, highlighting the need for heightened security measures as the election approaches.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) emphasized the importance of local collaboration for effective policing during the inauguration of a new police headquarters in Jalingo, Taraba. He stated that successful policing relies on the cooperation of local residents, who should provide credible and timely information regarding criminal activities in their communities, alongside the efforts of the police.

Ogun State has announced a collaboration with the Police to enhance security and border surveillance. This initiative was confirmed during a strategic security meeting attended by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Fayoade Adegoke and Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, according to Premium Times.
