The Ogun State Police Command has deployed its School Protection Squad across the state as schools prepare to resume academic activities on Monday. According to Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni, the deployment aims to boost police visibility around schools, protect pupils, teachers and infrastructure, and ensure a swift response to any security threats during the new term.

Ogun State has announced a collaboration with the Police to enhance security and border surveillance. This initiative was confirmed during a strategic security meeting attended by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Fayoade Adegoke and Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, according to Premium Times.

Ogun Police have apprehended 89 motorists and dismantled a robbery gang as part of an operation aimed at enhancing vehicle traceability and intelligence gathering. The initiative is intended to bolster criminal investigations and reduce the anonymity that criminals often exploit to conduct illegal activities, according to PM News.
