Two suspects, Nkalubo Mulodokayi Ssekakoni and Hassan, have been remanded by the Wobulenzi Grade One Magistrate's Court on charges of forgery and uttering false documents. This action was taken by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Uganda Police in collaboration with the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and the State House Anti Corruption Unit, according to Uganda Standard.

Chris Obore, the Director of Communications for Parliament, along with six other senior officials, has been remanded in custody by the Anti-Corruption Court in Wandegeya until July 7, 2026. They face charges of embezzlement, money laundering, and other corruption-related offenses, with prosecutors alleging the illegal misappropriation of Shs30 billion.

A 58-year-old man, Geoffrey Lingori, told the Eldoret law courts he did not regret growing cannabis after failing to find work despite holding a motor vehicle mechanics certificate. Two women, Mary Nanjala and Roselyne Nyongesa, have been arraigned in Kakamega, Kenya, for allegedly refusing to return 33,000 shillings mistakenly sent to them. According to Tuko, they were charged with acquisition of proceeds of crime contrary to Sections 4 and 16 of the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act. The case centres on claims the pair knowingly kept funds that had been transferred to them in error rather than returning the money.

Police in Iganga District, in collaboration with the Uganda People’s Defence Forces Defence Intelligence Security, have arrested six individuals accused of impersonating President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his daughter, Natasha Karugire. The suspects allegedly operated a criminal syndicate that defrauded members of the public through social media and mobile money schemes.

A court has issued an arrest warrant for former NEDP official Daniel Onsomu, who is facing charges of fraud. According to reports, he allegedly obtained Sh2.05 million from Daniel Nyakundi Osiemo between September 8 and October 6, 2022. The case is being heard at the Kibera Chief Magistrate’s Court.
