Seyi Makinde, presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples' Movement (APM), has said that although his party may be discounted by opponents, its votes will count in Nigeria's 2027 elections. Speaking in Abuja, he also addressed petrol pricing, saying the government must show its workings. According to Vanguard, Labour Party figure Peter Obi said Makinde is qualified to be president, while other politicians, including Bala Mohammed and Daura, commented on candidates' electability ahead of the polls.
