Unidentified gunmen reportedly killed at least seven people during an attack on Okele-Ejule in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday. The attackers, dressed in military camouflage, stormed the community around 5 p.m., opening fire indiscriminately, which led to several fatalities and caused residents to flee for safety, according to Daily Trust.

Ekiti State Governor Oyebanji visited worshippers who were recently released after being held captive for months. The individuals were abducted in April during an attack by gunmen suspected to be bandits at an open-air revival organized by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eda-Oniyo, according to Channels TV.

Yusuf Adigun, a suspected cultist, was arrested in Lagos with a pistol and a live cartridge. According to PM News, Adigun claimed that he and other members of his cult group, who remain at large, were planning to attack certain individuals before being intercepted by the police.

Lagos police say four suspects have been arrested after a man was killed by a mob following a road crash. According to police spokesperson Adebisi, the command is treating the death as homicide and has transferred the investigation to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for further inquiry and appropriate legal action. The victim’s identity and a motive beyond the collision were not provided.
