Nigeria's Civil Aviation Authority has directed domestic airlines to reduce flight operations whenever aircraft are grounded due to technical faults, a situation known as aircraft on ground (AOG). According to Vanguard, the directive, announced by NCAA Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Michael Achimugu, aims to prevent excessive disruption and hardship for passengers when planes are taken out of service.
