Aggrieved members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State staged a protest in Ibadan on Tuesday over the alleged imposition of candidates and the recent upload of Adegboyega Adegoke's name on the INEC portal. According to Tribune Online, the protesters stormed the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) and the party secretariat to register their grievances, marking another in a series of demonstrations by dissatisfied party members in the state.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Yobe State has accused the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (YSIEC) of excluding the party from preparations for the 2026 Local Government Council Election. According to the party, YSIEC failed to adequately notify it about election guidelines, the timetable and other activities. The ADC warned that the alleged failure could undermine its participation in the poll and called on the commission to address the situation, according to Daily Trust.

Youths in Ogoniland, Rivers State, have threatened to block the planned resumption of oil exploration in the area unless the Federal Government creates Bori State, according to Punch. The youths also demanded the immediate dissolution of the Ogoni Dialogue Committee, which is currently negotiating with the Federal Government over the return of oil activities. They warned that oil resumption would not proceed without their demands being met, raising the prospect of protests in the region.

Yobe’s ADC has asked the state electoral body to explain its exclusion from the Yobe local government poll. The dispute centres on whether the ADC can take part in the LG election and challenges the electoral body’s handling of party eligibility or ballot access.
