Kenya has graduated 2,700 young individuals from the Jitume digital media training initiative, which is supported by the government. This program aims to enhance participation in the country's expanding creative and digital economy. The graduates completed a five-day hybrid learning program as part of the Jitume Digital Media Tools Sensitization workshop, designed to introduce young people to emerging technologies and industry practices.

On June 18, 15 AI-focused startups from various African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Angola, graduated from the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa programme, which is a three-month hybrid initiative.

Makerere University has launched its Strategic Plan for 2025/26–2029/30, aiming to transform into a fully research-led institution.
