The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is under significant pressure from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding the preparations for the 2027 general elections. This assertion was made by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, during an interview with The Sun.

Umar Ajiyan, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Sokoto East, has presented his Senate agenda, emphasizing security, youth empowerment, and effective legislative oversight as key priorities. He expressed that his ambition is motivated by the desire to provide tangible benefits to the people of the district during a press conference in Sokoto.

Ogba Oghenevewogaga, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is fearful of the opposition. He asserted that under the leadership of National Chairman David Mark and presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, the ADC will grow stronger, predicting that APC's concerns will materialize in 2027.

Aisha Yesufu, a member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the Department of State Services (DSS) regarding its involvement in a comment made by President Tinubu. She questioned the rationale behind the DSS's engagement, implying that if Tinubu were not a criminal, there would be no need for such involvement.
