Authorities in Kano have apprehended a man suspected of attempting to traffic two girls out of the state for domestic work abroad. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding human trafficking in the region.

Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have called for support from religious leaders, parents, and communities to combat drug peddling and abuse in the state. The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old suspect, Hafiz Ahmad, and recovered a stolen motorcycle during a routine patrol in Bauchi metropolis. According to SP Nafiu Habib, the arrest occurred around 12 pm on July 4, 2026, when officers intercepted Ahmad in the area of Karofin Madaki.
