Reports indicate that these shortages are affecting access to essential reproductive health services in these regions, according to Health-e News.

The Ministry of Health announced that demand for Lenacapavir, a new HIV prevention injection launched in April, is currently exceeding the available supply, particularly among men seeking the twice-yearly treatment. Dr. Herbert Kadama, who coordinates Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) at the Ministry, spoke at a meeting with HIV advocates, researchers, and policymakers about the situation.
