The governor of Ekiti has announced that free medical treatment will be provided for worshippers who were rescued from kidnapping. He urged people to stop politicizing the incident on social media, emphasizing that security challenges should be addressed through collective support rather than partisan interests.

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has ordered the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) to provide free medical screening and treatment for the recently freed Eda Oniyo kidnap victims. This directive was communicated through a statement by the Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode.

The Ekiti state government has ordered free medical treatment for worshippers who were recently rescued. Governor Oyebode praised President Bola Tinubu for his assistance in securing the safe return of these individuals, highlighting the collaborative efforts involved in their rescue.

After 67 days in captivity, kidnapped worshippers in Ekiti have regained their freedom, although one individual died while in the kidnappers' den. According to community sources, the kidnappers received a ransom of N25.5 million, along with 150 litres of petrol and five bags of rice. In response, Governor Oyebanji has ordered free medical care for the victims.

Kidnapped worshippers from a Christ Apostolic Church in Ekiti have been released after several weeks in captivity, according to police reports. Unfortunately, one of the victims died during the ordeal.
