Kenya has commenced preparations to host the UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Nairobi. According to Sing’Oei, he met with a delegation from the IGF Global Secretariat, which is currently in the country to evaluate facilities and collaborate with Kenya's Country Multi-Agency Group tasked with coordinating the event preparations.

Nairobi is hosting the Africa Internet Summit 2026 (AIS’26), which gathers policymakers, regulators, technology experts, industry leaders, civil society organizations, and academics to discuss the future of Africa's digital ecosystem. Kenya is set to host the fourth Summit on Responsible AI in the Military Domain (REAIM) in Nairobi in April 2027, according to CIO Africa.
