Dangote Petroleum Refinery has denied allegations made by S&P Global that Nigerian marketers are re-importing its fuel through Togo, labeling the claims as "unfounded and misleading." The company aims to clarify the situation surrounding the distribution of its fuel products.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery exported 466,000 metric tonnes of jet fuel to Europe in June, valued at N757 billion, according to Punch. This achievement surpasses shipments from the United States, positioning Nigeria as a significant player in the jet fuel market.

Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N200 per litre within a month, indicating that the refinery has absorbed the recent surge in global oil prices. This marks another instance of price cuts from the refinery, suggesting a trend towards further moderation in fuel prices, according to Premium Times Business.

Former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola stated that his administration reduced the price of land allocated to the Dangote Group in order to secure the investment for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which is located in the Lekki Free Zone.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a warning to investors regarding any supposed public offering by Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals FZE, clarifying that it has not received or approved any application for an initial public offering from the company.
