Makerere University has announced the availability of 40 fully-funded scholarship slots for female students from disadvantaged backgrounds for the 2026/2027 academic year. The Fees Waiver Female Scholarship, which allows selected students to study at Uganda's premier university without tuition costs, was approved by the Makerere University Council in December 2010.
