According to SABC Business, MEC Dunga has expressed concern over the decline in municipal audits in Gauteng, noting that only two municipalities, Midvaal and Westrand, have achieved clean audits.

According to a report by the Auditor-General of South Africa, only 39 municipalities received clean audits. Sharrone Adams, head of audit, highlighted issues at the metro level, stating that officials often do not behave ethically, experience conflicts of interest, and fail to act in the best interest of their institutions.

The Kano State Government has committed to completing all abandoned projects in the state while also initiating new development projects to enhance infrastructure and public services.
