The Tijjaniyya Movement has declared its support for a popular governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Kano, which is the home of its grand Khalifah, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano.

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has called on residents to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for 2027, highlighting Tinubu's dedication to the development of Kano State. Yusuf's appeal emphasizes the importance of backing the president for continued progress in the region.

The Presidency has cleared Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, of allegations regarding a purported forged appointment into a non-existent federal agency.
