The Tanzanian government has encouraged local entrepreneurs and investors to capitalize on the expanding economic opportunities in China to enhance their businesses and boost exports of domestically produced goods. This appeal was made by Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade, Dennis Londo, during the launch of a Clinic Day organized by the Embassy.

Dk. Suleiman Haji Suleiman, the Tanzanian Ambassador to China, urged Tanzanian graduates from various universities in China in 2026 to serve as good ambassadors for Tanzania. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the knowledge, skills, and experiences they have gained to contribute to personal development and the nation's progress upon their return home. This call was made during a special ceremony.

Tanzania and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector, aiming to strengthen relations and increase opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment. This agreement coincides with the launch of direct flights by Air Tanzania (ATCL) connecting Moscow with mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, facilitating travel for tourists and businesspeople between the two markets. The inaugural flight was attended by Tanzania's Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji.

In Q4 2025, the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority reported 278 projects valued at USD 3.16 billion, significantly up from USD 1.57 billion the previous year. This investment is expected to create 71,412 jobs, with China contributing USD 950 million. The report also announced the opening of four Special Economic Zones in Bagamoyo, Kibaha, Dodoma, and Kahama, and two public-private partnership projects in Dar es Salaam worth TZS 182 billion, targeting sectors like manufacturing and mining.

The Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB) has stated that the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) serves as an important platform for promoting domestic tourism, showcasing tourist attractions, and preparing stakeholders to benefit from various opportunities, including the upcoming AFCON tournament next year. Naomi Mbilinyi, an official, spoke at the event.

The Tanzanian government has announced plans to enhance the cashew nut sector by increasing investment in processing and value addition, aiming for significant benefits by 2030. In a parliamentary response, Deputy Minister of Agriculture David Silinde addressed inquiries regarding incentives for local cashew processors, stating that efforts are ongoing to improve the investment climate to attract more processing industries within the country.
