He insisted that anyone joining the movement must commit to its activities entirely rather than attempting to dictate its direction from within.

The Linda Mwananchi movement has postponed its rallies in Kisii and Keroka originally set for June 26, 2026, to show solidarity with victims of the 2024 Gen-Z protests and their families during commemoration activities. The movement announced that the rallies will now take place on July 3, 2026, and called on the public to observe the anniversary with goodwill.
