Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have called for support from religious leaders, parents, and communities to combat drug peddling and abuse in the state. This appeal was made during a program held to address the issue on July 4, 2026, with contributions from NDLEA's Kwara State Commandant, Hajia Fatima Popoola.

The Katsina State Government has initiated the 2026 Annual Mass Livestock Vaccination Exercise, which will last for 18 days.
