Nigeria's Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and Nigerian Bar Association president Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya have agreed to strengthen professional collaboration and communication to curb recurring clashes between lawyers and police officers and improve justice delivery. According to a statement by Force Public Relations Officer CSP Ani Iniedu, reported by the Daily Post, the move aims to ease tensions between the two professions and support a more effective justice system.

The Oyo State Police Command has rescued 17 children and arrested seven suspects linked to an alleged interstate child-stealing and human-trafficking network operating across parts of Nigeria. Commissioner of Police Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga announced the development on Monday during a press briefing at the state police headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, saying an investigation led to the arrests and rescues, according to the Daily Post.

The police in Edo have arrested 45 suspects and rescued 38 victims who had been abducted. The police credited other security agencies, vigilante groups, hunters, and members of the Community Safety Partnership for their effective inter-agency cooperation in these efforts, according to Channels TV.
