Senator Orji Kalu has stated that President Tinubu is the frontrunner for the 2027 election, claiming to have made this assessment from his own observations. Daura, who is associated with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), has said President Bola Tinubu is beatable in the 2027 election, claiming his government is committing many errors, according to Channels Television. Speaking on why Nigerians should consider the APM presidential ticket, Daura said he and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde share a similar passion for Nigeria centred on resetting the country. The comments were made ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general election.
