Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced it is investigating the ownership, membership and management of Doman Engineering Company Limited. In a statement posted on X on Tuesday, the commission said it had placed the firm under caveat due to the ongoing probe. According to the CAC, parties have been advised to desist from certain dealings with the company while the investigation continues, with restrictions imposed on transactions affecting the firm's records.

The National Consumer Tribunal has ordered a Pretoria-based engine supplier in Gauteng to release a customer's Ford Focus, refund a R5,000 deposit with interest, and pay a R75,000 fine. According to the report, the tribunal found that the car parts supplier had fitted the wrong engine in the vehicle and then withheld it from the owner for years. The ruling requires the company to compensate the customer and return the car.
