Uganda's Ministry of Health has barred Congolese nationals from entering the country to attend the burial of Tooro King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV, citing an ongoing Ebola outbreak affecting the region, according to NTV Uganda. A ministry document reportedly states that the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo will remain closed to mourners, as part of measures to prevent people infected with Ebola from crossing into Uganda during the funeral.

Residents of Bulidha subcounty in Bugiri district say a rice hulling machine built by the Ugandan government in 2003 using public funds broke down in 2007 after about four years of operation and has remained idle for 19 years. According to residents who spoke to NTV Uganda, the machine, located at the Wakawaka landing site, has failed to be repaired due to a dispute between the district leadership and Bulidha subcounty officials, leaving the community without the service it was meant to provide.

An American national, Andrew Wilson, has testified in the treason case against Ugandan opposition figure Dr. Kizza Besigye, his ally Hajji Obed Lutale, and a soldier. According to NTV Uganda, Wilson told the court through audio recordings that he was with the accused in Nairobi, Kenya, on 16 November 2024, the day Besigye and Lutale were arrested. Government lawyers have asked for more time as the case continues.

The Warehouse Receipt Regulatory Board (WRRB) has officially begun implementing directives from Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba aimed at strengthening the management of the Warehouse Receipt System. This initiative seeks to address challenges in its execution and prevent a return to unregulated agricultural trade. WRRB Executive Director Asangye Bangu provided updates following visits to several regions including Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara, Ruvuma, Morogoro, and Iringa, as part of the implementation process.
