A businessman has surrendered to police regarding a case involving the alleged theft of R15 million worth of precious metals. Two individuals are set to appear in court in connection with this incident, which dates back to 2023, according to SABC News.

Two South African Police Service (SAPS) officers and an informer have been sentenced to prison for their involvement in a robbery and kidnapping that occurred during an unlawful operation in Randburg on May 8, 2018. The incident involved the theft of R1.2 million from three foreign nationals.

Nine individuals have been arrested in Witrantjie in connection with murders related to illegal mining activities. The police conducted the arrests after receiving information about suspects traveling in a minibus taxi, leading to their apprehension.
