During a campaign rally, he presented a development plan for the Ssese Islands, which includes improvements in transport, electricity, healthcare, education, and wealth creation.

Idah Nabayiga, the candidate from the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has been declared the winner of the Kalangala District Woman Member of Parliament by-election. The results were announced by Kalangala District Returning Officer Ronald Agaba at the district council hall shortly after the election held on Wednesday, where Nabayiga competed against four other candidates.

Residents of the Ssese Islands in Kalangala District are voting today to elect a new Woman Member of Parliament for the 12th Parliament, following the death of former MP Helen Nakimuli in April. Five candidates are contesting in the by-election, including Aidah Nabayiga from the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
