The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged the Federal Government to halt the planned rollout of the National Learner Identification Number (LIN). In a statement signed by its President, Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, the student body argued that the existing National Identification Number (NIN) is sufficient for Nigerian students, making a separate learner identification system unnecessary.

The Director-General of Nigeria's National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has rejected calls for her resignation, saying the agency has undergone significant institutional transformation under her leadership.
