Nigeria's Federal Government is planning to implement a new competency-based digital curriculum for teacher training, with the goal of producing educators who are digitally skilled and competitive on a global scale.

Kenya has graduated 2,700 young individuals from the Jitume digital media training initiative, which is supported by the government. The graduates completed a five-day hybrid learning program as part of the Jitume Digital Media Tools Sensitization workshop, designed to introduce young people to emerging technologies and industry practices.

UNESCO, working with Beijing Normal University and the Tanzanian government, has launched a programme to establish and strengthen ICT clubs in public schools in Dodoma and Morogoro.
