Khalid Hamed Al Barwani, a tourism promoter from Oman, has been officially appointed as the Honorary Tourism Ambassador for Tanzania. This appointment is expected to enhance the country's tourism promotion efforts and increase the number of visitors, following his previous work in promoting the Sao Hill Forest after visiting in 2024. The official handover took place in Dar es Salaam.

The Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB) has stated that the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) serves as an important platform for promoting domestic tourism, showcasing tourist attractions, and preparing stakeholders to benefit from various opportunities, including the upcoming AFCON tournament next year. Naomi Mbilinyi, an official, spoke at the event.
