The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) has appointed Khalid Hamed Al Barwani, an Omani tourism promoter and travel influencer, as Tanzania’s Honorary Tourism Ambassador. This recognition is for his efforts in promoting Tanzania's tourism attractions internationally. The appointment was made by TTB Director General Ephraim Mafuru.

The Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB) has stated that the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) serves as an important platform for promoting domestic tourism, showcasing tourist attractions, and preparing stakeholders to benefit from various opportunities, including the upcoming AFCON tournament next year. Tanzania and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the tourism sector, aiming to strengthen relations and increase opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment. This agreement coincides with the launch of direct flights by Air Tanzania (ATCL) connecting Moscow with mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, facilitating travel for tourists and businesspeople between the two markets. The inaugural flight was attended by Tanzania's Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji.
