Suspected bandits blocked the Bakori–Guga road in Katsina State on Friday evening and abducted at least nine travellers who were returning from the weekly Bakori market, according to community leaders.

Bandits killed two people and abducted 26 others in attacks on the Tunburku, Tudun Amada and Kallon Kura communities in Kaduna State, Nigeria. According to Mr Yunusa Shehu, Public Relations Officer of KadVS, who disclosed the incidents in a statement issued on Tuesday, the attacks occurred across the affected communities in the local government area.
