Lawal Daura, former Director-General of Nigeria's Department of State Services and vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Movement, has said he does not regret his role in the blockade of the National Assembly during the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari. Speaking on Channels Television, Daura stated that he needed no authority to shut down the National Assembly gate, according to the Daily Post report of his remarks.

Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, representing the Nasarawa South Senatorial District, has resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to alleged internal crises and ongoing legal battles.
