Uganda's U-17 Women’s National Team, known as the Teen Cranes, successfully defended their CECAFA U-17 Women’s Championship title with a 3-0 victory over Tanzania in the final held at KMC Stadium. This win marked the culmination of an impressive tournament for the Teen Cranes, who won all five of their matches.

Getrude Chandiru, recognized as the player of the tournament in Namibia during the 2017 Africa Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers, has transitioned from wearing yellow to maroon. Her performance was pivotal in leading Uganda to victory over Zimbabwe, securing a spot at the Global Qualifiers in 2018 held in the Netherlands. Chandiru excelled in the African Qualifiers, showcasing her skills with both bat and ball.

Kampala Queens FC forward Joanitah Ainembabazi achieved significant recognition in the FUFA Women’s Cup by winning both the Golden Boot and Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards. Her outstanding performances throughout the tournament contributed to her team's historic first title, as she scored in every match she played.

Entebbe UPPC FC is nearing the completion of a two-year contract for midfielder Sharif Ssengendo, who is transferring from KCCA FC. After joining KCCA FC in 2024, Ssengendo struggled to secure playing time, leading to his decision to leave the club with one year remaining on his contract. He is set to reunite with coach Abdallah Mubiru at Entebbe UPPC FC.

Free agent Bright Vuni has agreed to terms with newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Ntugasaze, according to Swift Sports Uganda. Vuni, who was previously with URA FC, is set to sign a two-year deal with the club following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.

Entebbe UPPC FC is in advanced negotiations to sign offensive midfielder Ibrahim Mugulusi from BUL FC, whose contract expired last month. Mugulusi is seeking a new challenge after spending six years with BUL FC, having previously joined from Busoga United in 2020.
