Three newly promoted Uganda Premier League teams, Blacks Power, Ntugasaze FC, and Entebbe UPPC, are competing to sign Young Elephants midfielder Francis Mukasa. Entebbe UPPC is reportedly in the lead for his signature, while the other two clubs are closely monitoring the situation. Mukasa has made 29 appearances for his current team.

Lugazi FC is reportedly in advanced discussions to hire Bastu Ssemuyaba, a former assistant coach at URA FC, to enhance their coaching staff. Ssemuyaba is expected to serve as an assistant to Abbey Kikomeko for the upcoming 2026/27 season, following Kikomeko's appointment after Simon Peter's departure.

Entebbe UPPC FC is in advanced negotiations to sign offensive midfielder Ibrahim Mugulusi from BUL FC, whose contract expired last month. Mugulusi is seeking a new challenge after spending six years with BUL FC, having previously joined from Busoga United in 2020.

Vipers SC, the Uganda Premier League champions, are in advanced negotiations with attacking midfielder Ibrahim Owen Kasule regarding a potential return to the club. Discussions have already taken place between Vipers and Kasule's representatives, with the player reportedly open to rejoining the Kitende-based team. Currently, Kasule plays for CT United in MLS NEXT Pro.

KCCA FC has successfully secured the signing of Charles Lwanga, who returns to the club after leaving for SC Villa in July 2023. Lwanga joins KCCA as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with SC Villa.

Congolese goalkeeper Alfred Macumu Mudekereza has parted ways with Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC, as reported by Swift Sports Uganda. His contract expired last month, and he will not be extending his stay with the club. Mudekereza joined Vipers as a free agent in July 2022.
