Tanzania is seeking long-term investment from Japan to create jobs, develop skills, expand technology transfer and production, and improve the competitiveness of Tanzanian products in domestic and international markets. According to Daily News, the appeal was made by the Minister of State in the President's Office for Planning during the Tanzania Investment and Business Forum held in Tokyo, Japan.

The Tanzanian government has encouraged local entrepreneurs and investors to capitalize on the expanding economic opportunities in China to enhance their businesses and boost exports of domestically produced goods. This appeal was made by Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade, Dennis Londo, during the launch of a Clinic Day organized by the Embassy.

During President Tharman Shanmugaratnam's state visit to Tanzania, the two countries signed five agreements covering taxation, trade facilitation, public service capacity building, and diplomatic cooperation. They also emphasized plans to enhance collaboration in investment, digital transformation, logistics, financial services, and industrial development, with bilateral trade reaching USD 74 million and Singaporean investments in Tanzania exceeding USD 535 million.

Tanzania is seeking deeper cooperation with South Korea that goes beyond technology transfer, aiming to learn how research, innovation and industrial capability can be converted into businesses, jobs and globally competitive products. According to Daily News, the ambition is taking shape through a new partnership between the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) and South Korea's Incheon, positioning the Asian nation's development model as a reference point for Tanzania's industrial and innovation ambitions.

Tanzania and Malawi have agreed to strengthen economic cooperation aimed at boosting trade and investment between the two countries, according to the Daily News. The agreement focuses on enhanced private sector collaboration, value addition to raw materials, and greater use of opportunities in regional markets. The initiative also seeks to reinforce Tanzania's position as an important trade gateway for Malawi.

Tanzania and Namibia signed four cooperation agreements during a state visit by Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. The agreements focus on trade, small and medium enterprises, defence, and municipal cooperation. Both countries aim to enhance cooperation across various sectors and strengthen trade and investment links by increasing private sector participation.
