The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced plans to implement a toll fee on the Ksh 184 billion Rironi–Mau Summit Road project upon its completion. The 233-kilometre road, which will be constructed over two years through a public-private partnership, will charge motorists Ksh 8 per kilometre. KeNHA stated that any future changes to the toll will adhere to the project agreement and necessary government approvals and regulations.

The rehabilitation and expansion of Kigoma Airport in western Tanzania is 60 percent complete, with the government optimistic about its potential to enhance economic growth, trade, and investment in the region.
