The Ministry of Construction, through the Tanzania Roads Agency (TANROADS) in Kigoma Region, has urged residents living near road infrastructure to actively participate in protecting and maintaining these roads to ensure their longevity and safety for users. This message was conveyed by the TANROADS Kigoma Manager, Engineer Elsony.

The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) has announced investment opportunities in six major strategic road projects through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. This initiative follows significant legal and policy reforms implemented by the Sixth Phase Government.

Waziri Mkuu, Dkt. Mwigulu Nchemba, announced that the government will complete the process of establishing the Mwibara Council to bring government services closer to the people and enhance the efficiency of social and development services. This statement was made on July 4, 2026, during a public meeting in Bunda Municipality, following a request from Bunda Vijijini MP, Mhe. Boniface Mwita Getere, regarding the establishment of the council.

Prof. Riziki Shemdoe, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (TAMISEMI), has instructed that action be taken against human resource officers who delay promotions for public servants despite them meeting all necessary criteria. This statement was made during the closing of Public Service Week celebrations in Dodoma, representing Chief Secretary Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka. Shemdoe highlighted ongoing challenges with some human resource officers failing to perform their duties effectively.

David Kafulila, the Director of the Public-Private Partnership Centre, stated that the government is progressing with the development of a partnership with the private sector for the construction of the Tunduma–Igawa–Mbeya road.
