The Ministry of Construction, through the Tanzania Roads Agency (TANROADS) in Kigoma Region, has urged residents living near road infrastructure to actively participate in protecting and maintaining these roads to ensure their longevity and safety for users. This message was conveyed by the TANROADS Kigoma Manager, Engineer Elsony.

Waziri wa Ujenzi, Abdallah Ulega, amesema Serikali inatumia mikopo nafuu ili kuharakisha maendeleo ya miundombinu ya kisasa nchini, ikiwemo barabara na viwanja vya ndege. Katika mchango wake kuhusu Bajeti ya Serikali ya mwaka 2026/2027 bungeni, Ulega alisisitiza kuwa mikopo hiyo imeleta matokeo makubwa yanayoonekana kwa wananchi, akipinga kauli za baadhi ya viongozi kuhusu suala hilo.

David Kafulila, the Director of the Public-Private Partnership Centre, stated that the government is progressing with the development of a partnership with the private sector for the construction of the Tunduma–Igawa–Mbeya road. Lazaro Twange, the Managing Director of TANESCO, expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of the contractor working on the Hale Power Station upgrade project, which has been delayed since its commencement in 2022. Twange made these remarks during a site inspection of the Hale project on April 22, 2026.
