Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya has announced a deadline for the completion of training grounds in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in 2027. The announcement comes as Kenya races against time to ensure that the facilities are ready for the tournament, which is set to take place next year.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria, the defending champions, will begin their training camp in Mohammedia, Morocco on July 15 in preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. They will train for one week before relocating to Rabat for their Group C matches, as reported by DAILY POST.

The Mike Mutebi Charity Match is set to take place on July 9, 2026, organized by the Mustafa Kizza Foundation. The event will feature Uganda Cranes players Mustafa Kizza and Okello competing against a select team led by Kenyan footballers Victor and McDonald Mariga.
