Tanzania's Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (TAKUKURU) in Geita region has donated medical equipment, including infant warmers and phototherapy machines, to the Geita Regional Referral Hospital to help save premature babies and newborns with jaundice. According to the report, the hospital receives about 15 newborns with jaundice and more than 30 premature babies each month, conditions that have caused many infant deaths. TAKUKURU said the donation aims to strengthen efforts to reduce newborn mortality in the region.
