Business leaders, government officials, health experts, development partners and members of the public have launched the fourth edition of Uganda's Corporate Run, a national charity initiative supporting expectant mothers and the fight against preventable maternal deaths. According to Swift Sports, the Corporate Run 2026 aims to raise 5,000 mama kits for health centres across Uganda. The official launch took place on 8 September 2026, with the event itself set to follow at a later date.

Runners will take to the streets of Kampala City on Sunday, 11th October 2026, for the annual Corporate Run, an event under The Corporate Games banner. According to Kawowo Sports, this marks the fourth consecutive year the run has focused on advocating for safe maternal health. The initiative continues to use the corporate sporting event to raise awareness of maternal health issues in Uganda.

During the celebration of International Women’s Day 2026 in Uganda, Kayunga District emphasized the urgent issue of lacking a functional ambulance at Bbaale Health Centre IV, which endangers the lives of expectant mothers. The event, themed "Scaling up Investment to Accelerate Access to Justice for All Women and Girls," highlighted maternal health concerns while health workers pointed out the critical infrastructure gap affecting emergency services.

MTN Uganda has committed Shs 500 million to fund 25 community projects under the fourth phase of its MTN Changemakers Initiative, according to The Observer. The projects will focus on health, education, water and sanitation, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment. Applications are being managed through the MTN Foundation, the telecommunications company's corporate social responsibility arm, and remain open for a limited period.

On July 4, 2026, the Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3) will host the annual 'KH3 Kampala Jinja Relay,' also known as the 'Ultimate Beerful Relay,' supported by Tusker Lite. More than 100,000 Ugandans took part in the 15th annual Rotary Cancer Run, raising Shs5 billion for the Nsambya Cancer Centre, according to Business Times. The event forms part of a broader effort in Uganda's fight against cancer, with public institutions, private organisations and communities increasing investment in specialised treatment infrastructure. The run, held in Uganda, mobilised widespread community participation to support cancer care development in the country.
