Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has been removed from the Senate Energy Committee, which is chaired by ODM Party Leader Oburu Odinga, following a reshuffle of standing committees announced by the Senate on June 17. Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot provided the update and introduced a motion to reconstitute several Senate committees. Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang has been nominated to replace Sifuna on the influential committee.
