The Centre for Public Integrity (CPI) has issued a defense of the Department of State Services (DSS) in response to activist Omoyele Sowore's criticisms. The CPI accused Sowore of unfairly targeting the security agency, highlighting what it claims are improvements in the DSS's operations under its current leadership. This statement was made by CPI's Executive Director, Comrade Job Samuel Danfulani.
