The European Parliament has approved an objection to the European Commission's proposed EUR 156 million Annual Action Plan for Tanzania in 2026, requesting that the financing decision be withdrawn and replaced with a new proposal. In response, Tanzania's government stated that the vote does not reflect the European Union's final decision and emphasized that any review of the program would necessitate agreement between both parties.
