The High Court has ordered the unconditional release of Halima Ngache, a woman arrested for allegedly tracking and posting President William Ruto's travel details on social media. Ngache was apprehended at her home in Mombasa and transferred to Nairobi, where the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) sought to detain her for seven days to complete investigations. However, the Milimani Court allowed her detention for only three days. She later filed a case in the High Court claiming she was not informed of the reasons for her arrest and that police officers lacked a court order.
