Head coach Eric Chelle has signed a new $100,000 contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), concluding months of speculation following the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Chelle had submitted a detailed 19-point proposal to the NFF in January, leading to mixed reactions and expectations regarding his new role.

Nigeria has extended the contract of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, granting him additional responsibilities to oversee the country's Under-23 team, known as the Olympic Eagles. This decision was made during a meeting between the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja.
