The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Osun State chapter, has endorsed Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming governorship election on August 15, 2026. This endorsement was announced during a special prayer and interactive session, where the society also called for a peaceful electoral process throughout the state.

In preparation for the Osun 2026 elections, Commissioner of Police Gotan has advised political parties to notify the police prior to holding any political rallies. This measure aims to ensure a peaceful, credible, and violence-free electoral process, highlighting the responsibilities expected of all political actors and their supporters.
